Do custom wheels already installed at purchase affect my warranty?

I just bought a 2006 Frontier with only 8300 miles on it, so it is well within the original Nissan warranty period. I bought it as a Nissan Certified vehicle. I bought the truck WITH the custom wheels already installed.

Anyway, I am noticing a weird whirring/groaning noise that sounds like it might be a bad wheel bearing. According to my warranty information, this is supposed to be covered under the Powertrain warranty. I haven't taken it it to get checked out yet, but I want to make sure that they won't tell me that the problem is a result of the custom wheels. I've done a little bit of research, and it sounds like it SHOULD be covered, but does anyone know for sure. I would like to know so that if it IS covered, I don't let the dealership try to tell me it isn't. Thanks

If the wheels were on it when you bought it - and you bought it from a Nissan dealership that certified it as Certified Used, it will be covered. Take it back to that dealership to have it serviced. If they give you a hassle, raise a stink with the sales department - they will get you taken care of.
