The coconut palm tree is one of the most versatile and the most useful plant to mankind on the planet. If a human were marooned off an island in the Pacific Ocean, all he needs to do to survive the ordeal is to find a coconut palm tree. Using its tall, sturdy trunk, and its huge palm leaves, a small house or nipa hut can be constructed from it. Its leaves can be made into a roof, flooring, and walls of the hut. Its trunk can be made into lumber, and then carved into furniture such as a table, wooden bench or stairs.

The coconut fruit have different uses also. Coconut water is good for replenishing the body and quenching one's thirst, while coconut meat can nourish the body with vitamins and minerals. Coconut milk and coconut oil can be extracted, processed, and produced from the coconut fruit. In the Philippines, a tropical country rich with natural resources and abundant with coconut palm trees, some of the local cuisine use coconut in a variety of recipe, by preparing, cooking and eating it alone, or mixing it with meat, fish and vegetables.

Local health scientists in the country have also promoted the benefits gained out of drinking extra virgin coconut oil - which is extracted from the meat in its purest form. Coconut oil is previous denounce by medical experts as bad for the health, but new studies have shown otherwise. In fact, extra virgin coconut oil have numerous benefits such as increasing the body' immune response, improving thyroid and metabolic processes and providing vitamins A, B and D.

Recently, a Coconut festival is to be held on November 13 and 14 at the Sunsplash Family Waterpark grounds in Florida. The festival is both a family affair and a country fair, and admission tickets is about five dollars for adults, and free for kids. It shall have many carnival rides and food vendors. Many country stars, and singers and bands have been invited to perform in the festival. The Coconut festival has been a traditional event for the city as a way of celebrating the city's foundation day. Usually, the city spends about ninety thousand dollars to make the event possible, but thanks to sponsors such as Taco Bell, the city was able to reduce its expenses by half. Proceeds from the Coconut festival will go to the Parks and Recreation Department's other events which may need funding in the future, such as the Veteran's Day parade.

Coconut has pervade much of our lifestyle, from housing and construction to furniture and house decors such as natural candles and natural wax candles, to food and cuisine. It shall remain so in the years to come.

To those who live in AZ and have been in a water park...?

I was wondering what the best choice of waterparks in AZ is. I have 2 choices, Sunsplash or Waterworld Safari. Thanks and i'm open to any tips and suggestion.

There are actually three that are owned by the same company (below is a link to the company's website). Sunsplash is probably the best. There is way more to. Besides the waterpark, there is also miniature golf and arcade. The other two, Waterworld and Big Surf, are just about the waterpark.

Big Surf and Sunsplash are relatively close together. However, Waterworld is way up on the north side of the valley.
